Named for the Mayan god of cacao and trade, this full-bodied stout was designed to taste like traditional Mexican-spiced chocolate. A blend of barley, wheat, rye, and oats come together to give the base beer a thick, creamy body that is black in color and full of chocolate and caramel flavors with notes of roasted coffee. A house-blended spice mix creates a complex character highlighted by cinnamon, while ancho, guajillo, and chipotle chilis add a fruity, smoky flavor with just a hint of heat. Lastly, the beer was rested on heaps of cacao nibs and vanilla bean for an explosion of deep, dark chocolate.

Coupe d’Or, or “Cup of Gold” in English, is brewed in the Belgian Table Beer tradition of low ABV, high flavor beers. Malted barley and wheat along with flaked rye pack the beer with a complex malt character, while a blend of modern and traditional European hops give the beer an assertive bitterness and floral notes of berries and white wine. Lastly, it was fermented warm with a hauntingly beautiful Belgian farmhouse yeast for complex flavor and a dry finish. At only 112 calories per pint there is no need to feel guilty about enjoying this cup of gold.

Maibock is a traditional German lager style that is brewed to celebrate the transition from winter to the warmer spring season, with a higher ABV to help brave the lingering cold and a pale color and boosted hop character to provide a crisp, floral finish. For our take on the style, we used Pilsner and Vienna malts imported from Bavaria to give the beer a deep gold color and flavors of wildflower honey drizzled over lightly toasted bread. Generous additions of German-grown noble hops balance the malty sweetness and give the beer the unmistakable aroma of an alpine meadow carpeted with flowers of spring.
